I'm...confused. Well, not really confused, that's a lie. I've never
been clearer in my direction and what I want. I think it's just
loneliness. Likely due to 30 looming so close.
I had plans for where I wanted to be in life by 30. They weren't even
outrageous plans like living in a bel-air mansion or owning a
fortune-700 company (fortune-500? that's 20th century talk). I just
wanted to be married (or engaged), working my dream job, at the end of
the day going to my own home. My home.
I feel like I'm back on
that island from 2008. Except with age comes experience, awareness. I
know more now. And it's so painfully obvious how quiet this island has
been.
I guess I am confused. I thought there would be progression. I still feel stagnant.

The Future of HP
"...The L.A. Times recently sat down with director David Yates to talk about Deathly Hallows, and that interview yielded the info you Potter fans have been clamoring for. If you want to SPOIL it for yourself and find out just where the screen will fade to black during Deathly Hallows: Part I, then keep on reading; if you don’t want to SPOIL the impending frustration surprise, STOP READING NOW.
According to the L.A. Times, Yates called the paper to update them on the filming of Deathly Hallows and was, in fact, shooting the very scene that will be the lead-in to the climax of the first installment:
'We’re here in the forest, we’ve just finished the scene where Harry, Hermione and Ron are captured by the Snatchers after being chased through the woods. The Snatchers are brutal and scary but they aren’t the most intelligent of creatures.They’re trying to figure out exactly who it is they’ve caught.'"

Future Twilight
What I didnt know, is that New Moon and Eclipse were/are being shot simultaneously. Thats. fantabulous. For those that dont know, Edward's role in New Moon is basically 'voice in Bella's head'. Eclipse, actually puts him back to work. Good stuff. Better news though.....

So yes, Breaking Dawn is being made into a movie (uh, duh. who didnt see that coming?) Did you like the Twilight? are you as excited as I am that they're doing the full (as of now) series?
New Moon is coming out on November 20th. Eclipse is supposed to be out June 30th, 2010 release. But, they could get dumb and pull that Warner Bros shit that happened with Harry Potter, and randomly decide to shove it to next thanksgiving. I will scream

Thought Provoking
Mi madre and I went to Atlantic City today. It was a great experience. After seeing the standard water show, I convinced ma to meander into a psychic booth for a palm reading. The psychic's comments -
"You smile on the outside, but in your heart is sadness"
"you're meant to help people, you'll find success in it"
"you're good at what u do now, but its not what you want. you're meant for more"
"there's someone close to you that cares a great deal for you. he'll reveal himself soon"
"you will have two children"
"i see children in your near future, so i'd protect myself if you dont want any right now"
"you'll live to be 90"
"you dont keep many people close to you, but there are two that are genuine"
"you love to travel and want to go more places"
The other psychic told my mom that there's a woman that wants to be with her. I always suspected this one lady...
The other psychic also told my mother she'd be travelling soon. possibly to Florida. we're going to Florida in august. She made ma a believer. ^_^

True Change?
Now, on one of, if not the most historical nights in American history, let alone American politics, we have a man of color, be it 1/2 black, in the Oval Office. I know many of you voted out there since we've had the largest voter turnout in history, I know some of you voted for the first time ever, and hopefully, it won't be your last.
Now, I didn't vote for Obama because he's 1/2 black, I didn't vote for him because he's democrat as I believe the idea that all minorities should vote democrat is the most ignorant idea, I didn't vote for him because I didn't like McCain, one of the reasons I voted for him was due to his stance on women's healthcare, which is important to me because I have a grandmother who is sick often. I also liked his stance on the economy, but I will admit one reason I voted had nothing to do with any of his political standings, I hoped that young african americans across the nation would open their eyes and see that the path they are currently traveling is wrong and that seeing a man who has traveled the right path would hopefully cause them to reconsider their life choices.
Having a man of color in the white house isn't the be all & end all for our people, the view on us won't change until we change. I can guarantee you, I will put my life on this, that tonight there are black kids celebrating Obamas victory, but tomorrow, somewhere in America, there will be a case of black on black, hell, black in any race, violence based on something ignorant, gang related, or just plain stupid. There will still be the glorification of gang culture, the embracing of ignorant music with no message, the wearing of clown clothes, your XXXL white tees, the jeans that have TOO much sag, the gold teeth, its too much. Black kids across the nation, who speak with a vernacular on par with the level of a chimpanzee, will be looked at as cool, while those who choose eloquence over ignorant will continue to be labeled as "sounding white" or being nerds. There will be kids on the city buses tomorrow afternoon with nothing better to discuss than a profanity-laced tirade about there peers, they'll be constantly using the word "nigga" not realizing that they're being looked at as "niggers". There will be elaborate handshakes, bandanas, "jux's", "flippings", and initiations.
By now you should get the point of what I'm trying to say. The fact that there is a man of color as President elect means that there is hope for change on some level, I'm hoping that at least one black child, teenager, or young adult can use this event as an inspiration to try and better themselves and their race.

The realness
Myomectomy
Myomectomy is the surgical removal of fibroids from the uterus. It allows the uterus to be left in place and, for some women, makes pregnancy more likely than before. Myomectomy is the preferred fibroid treatment for women who want to become pregnant.1 After myomectomy, your chances of pregnancy may be improved, but are not guaranteed.
Before myomectomy, shrinking fibroids with gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogue (GnRH-a) therapy may reduce blood loss from the surgery. GnRH-a therapy lowers the amount of estrogen your body makes. If you have bleeding from a fibroid, GnRH-a therapy can also improve anemia before surgery by stopping uterine bleeding for several months.
Surgical methods for myomectomy include:
- Hysteroscopy, which involves inserting a lighted viewing instrument through the vagina and into the uterus.
- Laparoscopy, which uses a lighted viewing instrument and one or more small cuts (incisions) in the abdomen.
- Laparotomy, which uses a larger incision in the abdomen.
The method used depends on the:
- Size, location, and number of fibroids.
- Hysteroscopy can be used to remove fibroids on the inner wall of the uterus that have not grown deep into the uterine wall.
- Laparoscopy is usually reserved for removing one or two fibroids, up to about 2in. across, that are growing on the outside of the uterus.
- Laparotomy is used to remove large fibroids, many fibroids, or fibroids that have grown deep into the uterine wall.
- Need to correct urinary or bowel problems. To repair these problems without causing organ damage, laparotomy is usually needed.
What To Expect After Surgery
The length of time you may spend in the hospital varies.
- Hysteroscopy is an outpatient procedure.
- Laparoscopy may be an outpatient procedure or may require a stay of 1 day.
- Laparotomy requires an average stay of 1 to 4 days.
Recovery time depends on the method used for the myomectomy:
- Hysteroscopy requires from a few days to 2 weeks to recover.
- Laparoscopy requires 1 to 2 weeks.
- Laparotomy requires 4 to 6 weeks.
Why It Is Done
Myomectomy preserves the uterus while treating fibroids. It may be a reasonable treatment option if you have:
- Anemia that is not relieved by treatment with medicine.
- Pain or pressure that is not relieved by treatment with medicine.
- A fibroid that has changed the wall of the uterus. This can sometimes cause infertility or repeat miscarriages. Before an in vitro fertilization, myomectomy is often done to improve the chances of pregnancy.1
How Well It Works
Myomectomy decreases pelvic pain and bleeding from fibroids.
Pregnancy
Myomectomy is the only fibroid treatment that may improve your chances of having a baby.2 It is known to help with a certain kind of fibroid called a submucosal fibroid. But it does not seem to improve pregnancy chances with any other kind of fibroid.3
Some studies suggest that myomectomy may also lower the risk of miscarriages among women with fibroids. But there are not yet good enough studies to know for sure.2
After myomectomy, a cesarean section may be needed for delivery. This depends in part on where and how big the myomectomy incision is.4
Recurrence. Fibroids return after surgery in 10% to 50% of women, depending on the original fibroid problem. Fibroids that were larger and more numerous are most likely to recur.1 Talk to your doctor about whether your type of fibroid is likely to grow back.
Risks
Risks include the following:5, 6
- Infection of the uterus, fallopian tubes, or ovaries (pelvic infection) may occur.
- Removal of fibroids in the uterine muscle (intramural fibroids
) may cause scar tissue.
- In rare cases, scarring from the uterine incision may cause infertility.
- In rare cases, injuries to the bladder or bowel, such as a bowel obstruction, may occur.
- In rare cases, uterine scars may break open (rupture) in late pregnancy or during delivery.
What To Think About
When trying to get pregnant after myomectomy. Because fibroids can grow back, it is best to try to conceive as soon after a myomectomy as is safely possible. Experts recommend:1
- Waiting 4 to 6 months after surgery to allow the uterus to heal before pregnancy.
- A hysterosalpingogram after 4 months to check the uterus and fallopian tubes before any infertility treatment.
When incisions have been made into the uterine wall to remove fibroids, future pregnancy may be affected. Sometimes, placenta problems develop, such as placenta abruptio or placenta accreta. During labor, the uterus may not function normally, which can make a cesarean delivery necessary.
In rare cases, a hysterectomy becomes necessary when the surgery reveals that the uterus is too overgrown with fibroids for a safe myomectomy.
This is what I am faced with, and this is what I'll be doing with my 23rd birthday...at the least I can definitely say i've never disliked a birthday so much before.
